Loreal Skin Perfection day cream

This is my current daytime/under foundation cream. It costs £9.99 at boots and is endorsed by Cheryl Cole/Fernandez-Versini herself (well she's Loreal's promo girl and is in the ads for the skin perfection line anyway). It's advertised as a day cream for ages 20-30s to minimise pores and generally improve skin quality. 

The texture of the cream is nice enough and it applies and sinks into skin well. My issues with the cream are the following. Why is it so pink and so perfumed? I actually love the smell of the cream it's a lovely smell for a fragrance or deodorant but it just feels too strong to rub into the face as a day cream. I'm also not impressed with the fact the cream doesn't have an SPF filter, for a £9.99 day cream this should be standard. I have been using this cream daily for weeks and do not notice any difference in the quality of appearance of my skin! I will probably not re purchase this cream as I don't think it's worth the price!
