Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick By Kate Nude in the shade 45

It's been a while since I bought any new make-up due to moving apartments,  but on a recent shopping trip to Boots, this caught my eye...
Rimmel London introduces the new Nude Collection by Kate Moss. A super-chic, on-trend palette of neutral shades for lips. The soft, creamy colors are universally flattering; the line-up comprises luscious, barely-there hues to suit every skin tone. Get the London nude look.

How to Use

Sweep across the lips, for a more intense colour add two coats.

I love nude lipsticks so I when I saw this I knew I had to try it. I chose the darkest nude I could find which was shade 45 though I think there is a shade darker 48. I can't wear lipsticks which are too pale as they have a tendency to wash me out and make me look even more pale than I already am, so finding a nude lipstick that suits my skin tone often proves to be extremely difficult, but I tried this on in the store and I immediately liked it!

It has a sort of balmy texture so it hydrates lips and feels more like a lip balm than a lip stick. It also has a pleasant smell which I find unusual for a lipstick and the colour is what I would describe as a medium pink/peach nude, so it's not too pale if you are worried about looking washed out. The colour is subtle yet very flattering and the pictures I took really don't do it justice as it looks much nicer in person. I would wear this colour for work and casual everyday makeup looks or perhaps pair it up with black eyeliner for a sixties inspired look. My only minor complaint would be that it simply doesn't last long enough for my liking but I love everything else about it, including the cute peach packaging!

As regular readers of the blog will know, I'm a big Rimmel fan and I especially love the Kate Moss range, particularly the mascara and lipsticks. The product description states you can apply two coats for a more intense finish, I have yet to try this out but overall I really love this lipstick. I find it very flattering and there is a wide range of shades available to suit all skin tones. I feel that with this range of lipsticks, Rimmel have really taken the time to develop a range of nude colours to suit and flatter every skin tone which is very difficult to find. These are available at Boots for £5.49.
