COLAB | A Model Recommends Dry Shampoo Paris

Today I would like to share with you all my thoughts on the COLAB|A Model Recommends Dry Shampoo Paris by fashion  blogger and model Ruth Crilly. I had heard other beauty bloggers raving about this so I was curious to see what the fuss was about....

What does the product description say?

As most of you will know, when it comes to dry shampoo I usually stick to my old favourite Batiste. I've tried many dry shampoos over the years, as I'm lazy when it comes to washing my hair, and the fact that I dye my hair means I don't like to wash it very often to try and protect my colour. I had heard of this dry shampoo a couple of months ago, but I was having trouble finding it as it is exclusive to Superdrug.

What do I think?
Firstly, I like the packaging, it may not be as pretty as the Batiste packaging,  but it looks modern and sleek and wouldn't look out of place backstage at a fashion show. I was excited to try this because I knew it had been endorsed by a fellow beauty blogger so I had high hopes. Secondly, I love the fragrance of this, it is strong but it smells more expensive and luxurious than the likes of Batiste. The fragrance also seems to last a lot longer than Batiste as I kept noticing it throughout the day. I also love the fact that there is a wide range of dry shampoos to choose from ranging from different fragrances like New York, London, Paris etc and I decided to try the Paris dry shampoo as it is my favourite city to visit.

It also has extreme volume, so I find this brilliant to use to add some volume in my hair or texture. This would be amazing for back combing for a night out/party or simply to add some texture and mess up your do, as it feels as though it is half hairspray and half dry shampoo. You simply spray a little at your roots and under your layers and then massage it in to create volume and texture. I also find that it really does help to keep my hair fresh and clean in between washes and lasts all day.

The only downside to this, is that like many dry shampoos, this is rather powdery and leaves the dreaded chalky white finish, I noticed halfway through the day that I had a white patch at my crown which made it look as though I had grey hair. However, I purchased the extreme volume edition but there are sheer invisible dry shampoos in the range which won't leave the chalky finish. So my advice would be to use this sparingly as a little goes a long way and to make sure you blend it all in once you're done spraying. I also found that it took the shine out of my hair slightly, making it dull but I find this happens with all dry shampoos. I love the height and volume it creates in my hair and I would use this even on days when I have washed my hair, simply to create volume at my roots.

This feels like a high quality product and I am now converted as this does everything I want! However it loses points for lack of availability in stores. Overall I love this product and I would highly recommend. I bought this for £2.99 in Superdrug where it is currently on offer.
