Nicky Clarke Supergloss Brunette Shampoo & Conditioner

As most of you will know, I colour my hair frequently so my shampoo and conditioner play a big part in my hair care routine. I usually swear by Herbal Essences to keep my hair soft and shiny, but after spotting this on a recent shopping trip, I decided to give it a go...

Originally, I was drawn to the product by the packaging and I had been wanting to try a new shampoo and conditioner specifically for brunette hair. My hair is currently dark brunette with hints of red and purple so I wanted something that would preserve my colour whilst keeping it soft and shiny. I find that many colour protect shampoos and conditioners leave my hair feeling dry and coarse, however I noticed that this contains keratin, I absolutely love products with this in as it's literally the only thing that works on my hair to make it soft.

I try not to wash my hair too often to preserve the colour as long as I possibly can, I rely heavily on dry shampoo to get me through to the next time I'll be washing my hair, currently I only wash it twice a week as everyone who colours their hair will know that shampooing fades and strips the colour like nothing else. But after washing my hair with this once, I can honestly say I am now converted to this brand! The shampoo lathers up really well and the conditioner really leaves my hair soft and silky.
I'm not too keen on the fragrance however, it is coffee and cedarwood which to me is just bizarre. I definitely prefer more fruity smelling hair care products. However I thoroughly recommend these products for anyone with brunette hair that wants to keep it shiny and healthy whilst bringing out the best of your hair colour. My hair was immediately softer after using it just once, I think this is due to the keratin. I bought these for 5.99 each from Tesco for 250ml bottles, which is a little more than I would usually pay but I think this is worth shelling out more for.
